Logitech, a provider of hardware peripherals for PCs and gaming consoles, engaged Rhonda Silva and her team of consultants to assist in a crucial product launch at the influential DEMOmobile® industry analyst conference. Only a select group of companies are given the opportunity to conduct a five-minute on-stage presentation and Logitech chose to introduce the Logitech® MX™ Bluetooth® Mouse and the Logitech Cordless Desktop® MX for Bluetooth. With this versatile package, a PC is transformed into a Bluetooth control center allowing the user to communicate wirelessly over the Web using a Bluetooth headset or easily exchange data between a PC and a Bluetooth PDA, cell phone or printer.

Strategic Implementation
Initially, Silva met with members of the Logitech public relations team to gain product knowledge and determine the team's key objectives for the presentation. One key requirement was to deliver the presentation as an entertaining theatrical production — a made-to-order assignment for Silva, who offered a senior level consultant with extensive experience in conference planning, corporate presentations, and professional theatre. Logitech's first objective was to display a complex technology in a user-friendly manner and to perform all demonstrations flawlessly on stage. Logitech also sought to win a prestigious DEMOgod award, given to companies that deliver top demonstrations at the conference. Using her expertise as a theatre director, the consultant teamed with Logitech to develop the script and hone the presentation.


"Rhonda Silva and her team of communications experts were easy to work with and provided good direction due to our consultant's professional theatre experience," said Nathan Papadopulos, senior public relations manager for Logitech. "This presentation had to be done in a theatrical manner to an audience of nearly 500 made up of tech-industry luminaries, media, analysts and venture capital firms. Our consultant visited the Logitech offices to conduct rehearsals with the presenting team members."

Logitech's team staged an outstanding performance and won a prestigious DEMOgod award.
